How Trawle works
Most job boards are filled by whoever pays to post. Trawle isn't: every job comes from an employer's own careers page, and we check every one of them again each morning.
Where the jobs come from
Companies publish jobs through applicant tracking systems like Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Teamtailor and Recruitee. Their careers pages are public, and we read them directly: 17 companies and 504 open jobs today. Nobody can pay to post or boost a job, and recruiting agencies can't post at all.
How we know a job is still open
Every job is checked against its careers page once a day. When a job disappears from the page, we mark it closed and remove it from search within a day. “Open today” means it was on the employer's site in this morning's check.
Reposts and days open
Some employers take a job down and post it again to look fresh. We recognise the same job under a new id (same company, title and location) and show it as Reposted. “Open for” counts from the first time any version appeared, so a reposted job doesn't reset its age. Our own tracking started recently; for older jobs we show the employer's posted date and say so.
Pay, roles and locations
Pay comes from the posting itself, from the employer's structured data or the text of the description. We never estimate pay that isn't there. Roles and locations are matched against standard occupation codes and the GeoNames gazetteer; a short AI summary is added for jobs with long descriptions.
Data policy
We show a summary of each job and always link to the employer's page, where you read the full description and apply. Our API and MCP server return the same summaries, never full descriptions, and results must link back. Employers who want their jobs removed can email hello@trawle.com.
Free, and staying that way
Searching, saved searches, daily emails and AI access are free. If we charge for anything, it'll be heavier API use, never job seekers' basic search, and never ads or selling your data. Use Trawle with your AI assistant.
